Getting your website posted on Geocities.com

1. With a browser like Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator, access the website www.geocities.com.
2. Click on the "build a webpage" graphic.
3. Set up an account with Yahoo! if you don't have one already.
   Read and accept the terms of service.
   Pick a neighborhood for your page, using your planned subject matter as a guide.
   Answer questions regarding what your page will be about.
   Click the "Submit" button.
   Your new account information will appear. Click "Build your page now" to continue.
   
4. Click on Yahoo Page Builder.
5. Click on the New folder icon.
6. Use the icons on the page builder to design and create your web page. Options include adding text fields, pictures, links to websites and your e-mail, and animation.
7. Explore the options and continue building.
8. When finished designing your page, click the Save icon. This will automatically upload the page to the GeoCities website. Record the URL so you can go straight to it when you want.
9. Editing your page is easy: return to the GeoCities home page and click on the "Edit Web Page" graphic. You will need to remember your account and password that you set up earlier in the procedure.
