Each student will be assigned weekly written and/or computer assignments, due the following class period. Homework assignments are expected to be legible, grammatically correct, and labeled with your name and the date. Those not meeting these expectations will be reduced in value.

Homework assignments are due at the beginning of the class period. Homework assignments that are submitted late will be reduced in value by 10% of the possible total score per day to a maximum penalty of 80% of the total possible.

The student is expected to be in the classroom, seated and ready at the beginning of the class, for each scheduled class period. The student should not expect help from the instructor or teaching assistant outside of class in understanding material discussed in a class period that they did not attend.

If a student will not be able to turn in homework before the due date or attend a class session when homework is due or a test is given, it is the student's obligation to discuss the situation with the instructor before that time to determine the possibility of alternate plans. The instructor is under no obligation to accommodate such requests, but may choose to do so.

Testing will emphasize understanding of the material, and have content from the textbook and lectures. Points available from any exam not attended will likely be forfeited.
